> Debatable. Women in the West were forced into work due to declining wages. A single income was no longer enough to support a family, and as more women went to work the other families would bid up the price of goods. That is debatable.

You should remember that there is already a selection process going. Most women will refrain from marrying a violent person. The violent person will therefore be "unmarried" yet the high crime rate hasn't anything to do with marraige.

Cruise ships (and some other ships) generally have armed gaurds. I heard that it is popular among Israelis (after conscription and before working) to work on a cruise ship as armed security.

I just spoken with a Zimbabwean (in South Africa). What happened in Zim is a fuckup. This guy's sister was raped (and eventually killed herself in South Africa). There money is less than worthless. The only thing that saves the populace is

Does this really belong on HN? As a sidenote, why is it okay to quote Nietze (who died in a mental hospital) whilst wearing a Che Guevera T-shirt yet it is wrong to say anything about Rand? Does the author’s personal life have any bearing o

The biggest lesson I have learned was that if you fail people, you should make sure that those who fail correctly reflects the demographics (e.g. black people, women). Otherwise it is a fuck-up with some very nasty complaints.

A lot of trains are electrified (I do not know what that situation is in the US). Also, even diesel-electric trains are much more efficient than trucks.
