Googled a bit and it looks like they indeed did try to do so, but, again, didn't have the votes. The premise of your question is not in good faith though; why is it always the Dems who should be blamed for failing to fix things Republi

My understanding is that this provision was originally enacted by Republicans during Trump's first term, so it follows Trump's practice of fixing things he was the one to break in the first place and attempting to claim credit.

There is little to do really except probably push back in casual conversation on the narrative that Israeli lives are more valuable than Palestinian ones, which has been prevalent since October 7th. Which country are you in? Depending on wh

There is a lot of YC activity in the Middle East, I think some startup in some other Arab country could hire you remotely. There are also startups in Southeast Asia that might be options. > I was the only developer on the frontend team f

Having a sizeable minority of some kind does not really justify or excuse kicking out other ethnicities and religions to form a new state based on the primacy of that group. The mental gymnastics to think that expelling people living there

WASM is still pretty niche, as is the desire to write a UI in something other than TypeScript/JavaScript the "it doesn't have a UI library, and thus you are forced to write JS" criticism in particular feels odd to me. Gi

What would you say the good and bad of GraphQL are? Like, when it is a value-add, and when should it be avoided?

Where is this getting the docs from? It's a lot of work for FLP/Courtlistener to get stuff, and even they don't have 100% of records (not sure if this site is claiming to have 100%, it's unclear)

Have been looking for something like this and planning on making one, but one of the main things I need is ability to query a local container with no auth. Too many options for Dynamo clients need AWS creds, etc. Is that supported here?

Unfortunate. I was a subscriber, though not an avid reader. But never a paid subscriber. In retrospect, I could and maybe should have been. I was a paid subscriber at one point for both The Economist and The New Yorker. But for those, I got

One of the fundamental tenets of the US legal system (and, at one time, its culture) is that rights like due process are more important than helping facilitate the government's will at scale. The one place this has been debased and ero

This seems to have all the same pain-points as idiosyncrasies as Django, but it's just not Django, it's a copy, so why would I use it instead of using the more standard thing?

Really didn't realize that most people think "Elastic Container Service" when they hear ECS? (I could be wrong, but it's also def not "Entity Component System", so should define the thing up-front)

I use it regularly, and used to use GitHub Copilot. I think Cursor is probably overhyped and not worth the money, and I want to explore switching back to Copilot or trying Cody, or other alternatives. However, it's hard for me to test

The legal process in the US is driven by the parties, and the party with more money can abuse this fact. Party-driven discovery is a major scene of abuse in this regard.

It's already well-known that crippling the government and destroying things is the point. To have ever entertained anything else is to have been naive, morally defective, and stupid.
