What does it even mean for "the Internet" to go offline? All nodes go off at the same time? All routers? BGP as a whole? All of that across the whole world?

I don´t think I've ever come across a service that only used passkeys. Username/email + password + 2FA is usually the primary form of verification. There's usually a way to recover your account through email.

Why wouldn't it be? The post does a good job explaining why not only it's not a problem, but also likely desirable in many (I'd wager the vast majority) of circumstances. Simple, effective, cheap, easy to understand and manag

Make it a rule that any PR that changes over ... 100 LoC? 150? <some number you're comfortable with> needs to be broken down into smaller, more atomic ones. If that can't be done, e.g. because it's a very large refactor

I just bought a Pro with nothing pre-installed. I got the kit though, so the SSD was on its own box, still unopened. Maybe they pre-install if you buy it assembled? In any case, you probably got stock Ubuntu. Anything different from that wo

I'm sorry, do you require glasses? It's written right there. > iMessage, SMS, Notifications, Contact sync on Linux. Also email OTP handling. Furthermore, a lot (most, really) of Tether's functionality works without havin

Like I mentioned, I found KDE Connect to be lacking but mostly even the feature that it does have, don't always work. So far (really only a couple hours), Tether seems a lot more polished.

IIUC it's been on a "temporary" raise, which is higher than the one they're now "making permanent".

Literally OP does this. It doesn't share it automatically like iOS-to-macOS integration but you open the app, click a button - job done.

I find KDE Connect severely lacking. It's great that it exists, and maybe it's really excellent with Android, but for iOS it's really not there yet. Even features that do exist don't always work reliably. I can't se

TIL, I wasn't aware Portugal differed. I wonder about the other Portuguese-speaking countries. They generally align closer to Portugal and Brazil is the outlier (though it accounts for ~78% of Portuguese speakers!) so I suspect it'

It's really not. Number and order of arguments, long names, etc. are just bureaucracy. Knowing them doesn't mean you understand the codebase any better than if you rely on the IDE for it. It's a bit like remembering the exact

Good to know about Crossplane, thanks! I agree with your points around HCL. This is one of the reasons I liked Chef's DSL - it was Ruby. It was foolish to do too much Ruby stuff around the DSL, but if you kept it to the right amount it
