This might have came off somewhat hostile to poor customers, but: I've been there, and managing how you're going to eat & pay rent at the same time on the average salary is really stressful, so I've always been empathet

Not to give an argument along the lines of "You're holding it wrong," but...okay, yeah, I'm going to do that. You hold a gun in one way. If you mess that up in any fashion, you probably won't hit what you're

It doesn't actually add to a retail worker's workload; retail workers (in the United States, anyway) are paid by the hour, and at any given moment will be forced to do something . Filling it with a laugh is a step up. Your pr

Ah yes. Jokes. Such a great evil. You'd think the whole world is owned by the 1990s Microsoft, or Oracle: boring, lifeless and monotonous. Probably beige, too. I can assure you, this wasn't within the top-ten of most annoying thin

A static site is really easy to host and HN's hug of death isn't actually that intense; the site itself only gets like six million views a day, a fraction of those click on every link, and no syndicated page has much reach.

I didn't really have a strategy at the time, I just had time. Like, a lot of time. "It was one of the only games I could get to work with WINE and I had no hobbies because I was a child" amounts of time. Time, an abundance of

Like the above poster said, doing it once or even a handful of times is cool. It happens all the time , though, and in a less-than-polished way. It's lazy. I normally love things like that in games. I read everything and there

There's nothing wrong with environmental story-telling; what's wrong is boring environmental story-telling, or environmental story-telling that is as generic and poorly-implemented as "Hey look, the body has a letter on it.

It's not cursive for lowercase. Look at "which." The glyphs are just randomly cursive or print. I wasn't complaining about serifs, I was complaining about randomly mixing cursive and print.

...does that font used for comments in the screenshot seem like visual terrorism to anyone else? Cursive might be fine on its own, and print is definitely the standard, but haphazardly mixing cursive and print is alarming.
