Sure, but that doesn't mean they think running is bad in general. Excuses don't equate to an opinion. If someone told me to run, I'd tell them that I can't because I pass out when I run (medical condition). Doesn't

Is it really "popular knowledge that people are not supposed to run"? I've only heard this claim made by people that don't agree with it as some sort of strawman. Almost everyone I know thinks running is good, and all of

Doesn't the verdict of the trial related to the bail request have impact upon that? (legitimate question. I don't know if non-guilty parties are more/less likely to skip than guilty parties?) That's assuming that we can

I'm confused here, I read the article and it was somewhat muddy about the point trying to be made other than "machine bad!". Racially biased could mean two things: despite not taking into account race the algorithm groups res

Measure against recidivism and skipping bail? Surely we have a baseline that can be used, such as when these systems are not in play?

I assume this might be an unpopular opinion, but shouldn't these programs be evaluated on some metric of success rather than their racial selection? If the software is accurate at picking choices that match the set goals, then it would

I think that's the most succinct way to put it: Give children stake in your interests. It doesn't even have to be direct. If I'm working on a lesson (I teach technology), I can ask the kid to come up with some ideas, help cle

I don't have kids. However, I teach up to 18 hours a day with children of various ages. I've done this for 22 years. I also have been the de facto babysitter for my family since I was 14. Kids in my home almost constantly. The #1

669 commits in the last year... and asking if the project is dead? I'm a bit confused here. Maybe the project is mismanaged, or there's some upstream issue with package distro, but it seems to be far from dead.

I don't think this is true. When I was younger, I only could fall asleep at ~2am. I went to multiple schools with starting times varying from 5am to 12pm, it never made a difference. I just wasn't tired until 2am no matter what.
