How many other people here wouldn't know how to answer most of these questions if asked? I've thought about this on/off for an hour and I simply don't know how to answer most of these questions.

I've never seen that happen. I have seen it give optimistic numbers, which are dozens of miles short of GPS trip logs, and worse in moderate cold. When you say "this is information you can trivially look up", not only does th

Funny enough, I use Emacs because it feels like I don't have to spend as much tinkering to make it do what I want. I am a lisp dev though, so that factors in to the fluidity of the experience for me :)

I know this is going to come off as snarky or dismissive, but please believe me that it's not intended that way. I just can't come up with a better way to say it: No. I'm too focused on my work to care much. I used to waffle

You can't disentangle nature from nurture with some sets of twins as they are both in play. That's part of why it's fascinating to see both with strong simultaneous reinforcement, and similarly when the "nurture" pa

I love working and do it even if my needs would otherwise be met by public subsidies (I am disabled, obviously and legally). It helps that I'm paid for work that I'd otherwise been doing, but I have a decent history of working le

Eh. I street race, and I've been doing it since the late 90s. I've been in MA, NC, SC, VA, FL, OH, MO, and all around them frequently during that time. It's _way_ easier to find events of some sort now. They're more orga

You don't need to learn Java, only be aware of it. Nubank has 100(0?)s of devs that don't know Java at all and successfully use Clojure. Even if your assumption is true, what's wrong with that? A language which offers more va

This is often a question asked by non-lisp devs. It's not Clojure specific - you just use the code itself. Open a REPL, and start working. You can just execute the code in realtime as you're refactoring. The size of the codebase i

There's no need for a "project" to learn clojure. By time you get to the point of wanting one, you should probably know what a map looks like. You inserted extra {} in your example, a similar mistake would also break a JSON f

Many people with aphasia have memory issues, or are in the early stages of dementia. I don't know about Bruce Willis' situation particularly, but it's not a stretch to assume some level of memory defect in those with aphasia.
