LINQ GroupBy() is the most common use I can think of. I would definitely look into that as it's a nice tool to have. Otherwise, keep them in mind if you're ever pulling data from an external source (SQL, JSON, GQL, Redis, etc) and

Haven't read the article yet. That can probably be padded over with some reflection. I don't really use F# (it's on the list of things to learn when my current job cools down a bit, doing 80 hours a week right now), but I use

.NET 6 has been in prerelease for a while, and it's the next LTS release. Makes sense that it would be used as soon as it was available. Upgrading from 5 to 6 should be pretty trivial.

Everyone's talking about sharing how your own business operates (as OP asked). I think of that as onboarding. I work in B2B, and the question I was hoping to get answered is how to share how your customers' businesses operate. In

Something being legal has nothing to do with it being ethical. Many terrible things used to be entirely legal. Some still are. Having said that, this kind of thing puts your job on the line. Standing your ground on ethics will always come w

This is called 'retrofitting', and it commonly costs $100k to $300k per machine. It's a niche business as people smart enough to pull it off are fairly rare.

If you want to revolutionize manufacturing, you need to open a large number of small job shops each specializing in a different kind of work, then do applied research and engineering in this real world environment. Step one is making the sh

Assuming those run a container? With puppeteer on Heroku, I had to install chrome as part of the container, then pass it no-sandbox on startup. I'd guess you'd need something similar with chrome (I'm on mobile, so excuse the

I think anything truly real time would be interrupt driven and use C/assembly. This would act as the glue between that critical code. I don't feel like we've hit peak embedded development yet. I love the idea of rapid embedde

Signing in a distributed environment with a (sometimes required) hardware based key is really annoying. You basically have to build your own system for it. I've actually wanted inexpensive signing as a service (for Windows) for some ti

So, what are best practices to avoid this situation in the first place? MFA. Billing alerts when estimated charges are over expected spending amounts. Anything else? Seems like a small mistake here could really harm a small business. Are th

Could you give a concrete example of your problem in a gist or something? I'm curious if it's solvable in C# as is. Sounds like it may be the kind of thing I'm approaching with reflection and attributes right now.

It's less turnkey, but Postgres does support Pub/Sub. If you're willing to follow your updates with a pub message, you can then manually refresh your data elsewhere in response. I use this feature to horizontally scale websoc

How would you say this differentiates from existing platforms like Salesforce/Zoho? Currently using Zoho. Curious what would make a company want to switch. A video of the shiniest features would be nice, like others have said.

You could say similar things about digital spreadsheets. They may not be a game changer for software developers, but they have an order of magnitude more users than all general purpose programming languages combined.

I'd like to add a bit more nuance. Modern frontend development provides many opportunities for failure. These failures often make their way into production. I, personally, get great results with modern FE development. My users are happ

There was a misunderstanding when documents outlining vue 3 were released. Users thought that advanced functions for component reuse were replacing easy to use existing features. Vue 3 is backwards compatible however, and it was a non-issue

The author is complaining about explicit use of 'this' where it's not required. It's hardly incorrect, it's a preference. I'd personally pick explicit use of this if I cared enough be consistent about it. I
