:-) I think another important thing to note is that both software engineers and computer scientists reinforce and add value to each other's work. CS can improve and verify the methods employed by those in SE and those in SE can provide di

I'm not sure whether to be upset or take it as a complement that my idle random thoughts would be called propaganda. Rest assured, I'm not trying to denigrate atheists, or Sweden for that matter. The observation was that in less developed

I think the integration of software engineering as the core of a computer science program essentially destroys the computer science program. Sure, many people with CS degrees wind up doing software engineering, but comparing CS to SE is li

Metaphysical beliefs notwithstanding, there is a decent amount of convergence on interpersonal interaction between the world's major religions (i.e. mutual respect, Golden Rule). From a non-religious standpoint, this could be because these

Just tossing it out there, but isn't the price point of a product also a big director in consumer expectations? Not that I support making a crappy product, but consumers who pay a lot more generally have higher expectations about what they

You know, encryption and a decently strong password pretty much seals the deal on somebody physically stealing your data. There is no reason to not encrypt your home computer if you are so concerned.

I can't say with any certainty about how much you could automate the job of a featured journalist or editorialist for a big journalistic institution like the Economist or maybe the Times, but I'd say at the current quality network and cable
