I was actually surprised to find a lot of people outside of my bubbles with this sentiment, from regular people from both of political spectrums to companies switching their llm provider (not us based)

Have you ever used anything that is on google cloud console? Or tried not to get randomly ratelimited with a single request to a vertex llm model? They are shooting themselves in the foot for solid 20 years, any of these players can compete

I spend not even 20 monthly when using gemini cli. Claude's subscription model is forcing you to space out equal sessions unnaturally during day - but you don't work like that. You work N hours of day and then go to have personal

i never had these issues with gemini cli using google vertex endpoint, and i never even reached $50 per month i don't want to think about how to hack a tool i'm paying for not locking me out because "i promped wrong"

If you spend only 20 on claude code you will not get far, it will lock you out after about hour of work for session usage limits

That's just unrealistic. If i were to use it like this as an actual end user i would get stopped by rate limits/those weekly / session limits instantly
