I disagree. Any time someone switches platforms, they will undoubtedly be more prone to identify quirks and missing features in the new platform than everyday users. If companies (be it Apple or Google) want users to switch to their platfo

As an everyday carrier of both an iOS and Android device, it's rather refreshing when people point out flaws and points of improvements on both platforms. I certainly hope Google fixes these problems ASAP.

Let me posit another question, why are there no visible minorities on Twitter's board? And why aren't people getting up and arms over that?

I think this would be a great pricing model if applied to tutoring for students. If you find a tutor useful, you'll go back to them. Conversely if you find they weren't helpful, you leave early. So it's up to the tutor to

I'm always skeptical when companies say they have "no managers" and are a completely flat organization with 100+ employees. I don't pretend to fully understand organizational theory, but I take it that at some point, the

The degree doesn't matter if your employer is hiring you for a position with "Engineer" in the title. This works both ways between Canada and the US.

For students it's easy to criticize Jobmine as users of it. But given the even worse (or in many cases, non-existent) co-op application systems at other schools, Jobmine is light years better. I remember working with some Waterloo alu

I ignored incidental fees from my figure. Strictly the tuition cost. Also factoring in the point that tuition for engineering is making a major hike (I think it was 5%?) and a lot of students get the 30% tuition cut from the provincial gov

It's roughly $6000/term (for engineering, cheaper for CS students though) not including paying for food + housing (an additional $1600-3000 depending on where you decide to live on or off-campus). I'm in the boat of Waterloo

For $40, my return on investment is paltry. I understand why it cost that much because of the hardware, but for that amount of money I could do a lot more than buy a screen lock.

At first I thought this was similar to a bike lock so that your Mac can't get stolen. But that doesn't appear to be what this is. I don't see why simply "locking" your screen with something as simple as configuring

Vybe will vibrate once for a message, and it will vibrate in 1 second intervals the whole time your phone is ringing. For $8/band, that's not bad. I think my mother would find this useful because she tends to not hear her phone
