But this is already occurring for students enrolled in extracurricular math programs like Kumon that accelerate their math skills. Khan Academy isn't doing anything that Kumon isn't already doing other than adding a few more science subjec

It's interesting that this is occurring in an academic environment. Yet in athletics, China (or perhaps most Asian countries) tend not to perform as well in team events compared to Western nations.

It's not even that. The app is buggy and doesn't even work well. The Messages, Events, and Chat are all horribly implemented.

Agreed. All my dev books are focused on XCode 3 and there are only a couple of XCode 4 books that have been printed. Which is disappointing because now my old books are useless and I spend most of my time replaying the Apple XCode 4 video

The GH edu account bumps you to a micro account. While it's nice to finally get the private repos, that still doesn't really beat BB.

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I was going to hire a designer to make a simple splash page like this for my app but it probably would have costs a lot more than "free" just to get that done including the hosting. Thanks!

If you just compare to companies in the semiconductor industry or other various "behind the scenes" players, practically all of them have billions of dollars in revenue. So Google earning $9 Billion isn't as big of a deal as everyone thinks

This depends entirely on what applications you are running. Some applications which are optimized for GPUs will force your integrated card to run more hotly because it has to perform more operations compared to your discrete card. Therefo

Perhaps 'balanced' was the wrong choice of words. Rather, I'd like to see the momentum shift periodically such that we increase the level of innovation from all players instead of the most powerful.

You mention 'at least two players' but from your explanation, you seem satisfied with ONLY two players. I disagree. I'd rather have multiple competitive players than merely two.
