Apple is full of it. 5/7 years ago it was cheaper to fly to New York from Paris, buy a Macbook Pro there and come back since the dollar was pretty low. And you still had money left! Of course they don't care about the exchange rat

The issue is why can't France even attract engineers and investors from WITHIN the Eurozone, these people don't need Visa. The issue is elsewhere, not in the pool of engineers. France can't even retain its own engineers.

Scientific libraries are a complex problem, writing yet another web framework isn't. Furthermore most sci/num libs are heavily linked to C/C++ and FORTRAN code, where most of the work is done.

Nothing can be omakase in Go. The language disallow it, unless you completely opt out of its type system. But then, what's the point of using a statically typed language? Go is built in a way that forbids writing abstractions. When I s

If you're goal is a UI with widgets for a dashboard then yes, using Bootstrap makes no sense. To be fair, if everybody took a little bit of time learning basic CSS nobody would need bootstrap either, especially when rendering differenc

Stupid, I started web development as a designer. They should absolutely code and learn to code. They just shouldn't be able to deploy anything without a serious code review, but it's also true for any professional developer.

C has macros handled by C compilers, no need to hack templates with third party pre-processors like Go gen. You can't even compare C and Go in that case. In fact C is more expressive and type safe than Go.
