Since the title is rather vague, this is the start of a series about building a TCP/IP and Ethernet framing stack from scratch for a microcontroller. The author uses a chip (W5100) which can handle TCP/IP itself, but also supports

Well, usually. Our doorbell, which was non-functional from when we moved in until we moved out eight years later, and which we were always planning to fix 'next week', is a good counterexample. Not that we'd get mad at people

There is no actual rule that requires quotes to make something a valid sentence. For instance, "We need to make sure you agree to the conditions. Write I agree on the line below." is pretty unambiguous in its intention if you assu

Having Counterstrike in the name of the repo and title of the game might not be the best idea, as it's a trademark. It's also ... not an awful lot like CS at the moment. Mostly the size and complexity of the map.

Around 2012, I had sunk several years into becoming extremely familiar with JavaScript when I switched onto a team which was using CoffeeScript. I immediately liked it: it addressed some of the things I'd always found irritating about

Does anything run on an un-switched network these days? I guess you can see broadcast traffic, but I thought dumb hubs went out of fashion a decade ago. Although there are probably plenty of offices which haven't updated their networki

I guess the focus in this one is on adding links rather than discussion, which from a look at that Wikipedia page, seems unique. But yes, it seems a bit like a small twist on an extremely old idea.
