I don’t think this is true for Safari, where the passwords are backed by OS X Keychain.

I find it telling of MongoDB's sales strategy that this is being covered by Techcrunch. I don't think you'd get the same coverage on Postgres (granted MongoDB is a company, vs PG is a project).

AWS needs to help drive this practice towards a greater adoption: it should be a basic feature of their LBs (and not some magic Lambda/Route53 trick). Hopefully they’ll make it easier with their Kubernetes integration.

NewRelic doesn’t let you add random JS, it only injects their browser monitoring script. Don’t spread fake news.

Given malicious code is hidden in applications that appear to be safe or appealing to users I don’t think they are usually willingly downloading malicious code.

Setting up HAProxy in a production environment with discovery for the docker container may not be rocket science but it’s certainly not 20 minutes.

Where are you going to host it, how will you cycle the container to keep it up to date, and will you need to load balance it? Running a Docker container in production is not a 20 minute job.

I believe Index was working on speeding up EMV transactions: http://www.index.com/payments-and-security/emv/ I thought it now depends on the firmware in the card readers, which it seems companies like Index contro

If you don't like all the directories that Ansible playbooks require you can use the simple style of a single YAML file that describes the actions to take. Check out https://serversforhackers.com/an-ansible-tutorial , t

Good catch, A9 isn't a few years back. My argument probably isn't as valid but I still think the guarantee of 2 iPhone generations is safer than the fragmentation of Android devices that would be "released in the past 2 years

Why has this comment thread devolved into comparing the number of Android OS installs versus the number of iPhones sold. They are apples and oranges and the point is that the iPhone for a few years back is a guaranteed hardware specificatio

I think "Program your next server in Go" is a little too broad, the specific language features that Go explicitly leaves out makes it hard to build an extensive backend server. Go is best suited to use cases listed in these slides
