The change in that benchmark was from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1369140 , as part of the Quantum Flow ( https://wiki.mozilla.org/Quantum/Flow ) effort.

Welcome back! Fair warning, legacy add-ons can perform worse under multi-process Firefox, since any synchronous APIs now require cross-process locking. To the greatest extent possible, try to limit yourself to add-ons badged with "Co

I'm not familiar enough with our in-process isolation to summarize it, but https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Sandbox is an good trailhead for the process-level sandboxing in Firefox.

Here's a whole article on the new process model: https://medium.com/mozilla-tech/the-search-for-the-goldilock... The overhead is minimal since we're not doing process-per-tab: we cap the number of processes t

Edit: I believe my comment here was incorrect. Apparently we only rolled back support for `appearance` and `-webkit-appearance` (and a few associated changes), but `-moz-appearance` does still work as described above. Original comment fol

That's because Google sniffs Firefox's user agent and serves it an older, less featureful version of Google Search. One that doesn't support AMP. Spoofing Firefox's ua-string to appear as Chrome will get you the full Sea

There's a lot of doublespeak around this. 1. You can (and must) host AMP content on servers of your own choosing. 2. Google's crawlers ingest your AMP content, validate it, and re-host it in Google's AMP Cache. Bing and other

AFAIK, only the stock and Asuswrt-Merlin firmware builds support Broadcom's proprietary acceleration (ctf.ko). On my RT-N66U, WAN throughput can hit 870 Mbps. Without it, I max out around 170 Mbps. If there's a way to run OpenWRT
