I think John Oliver did something like this with the FCC representatives, robocalling them every few minutes[1]. [1] https://www.newsweek.com/robocall-john-oliver-last-week-toni...

I actually like that option, it would allow us to filter and extract the info as well. I could see a nice little app on my phone where i could setup alerts based on the systems / apps i choose, and getting a notification if one of them

I wish they just added a simple "handoff" option in the control panel. I use spotify on all my devices, and use their device handoff a lot and it works really good. Would be perfect if i could open control panel, click audio hando

In regards to the Mi Band 3, there is an app called Mi Band Master, which works a lot better then the original. It exists for both Android and iPhone. I use it for sleep monitoring, and notifications. Battery lasts for about 2 weeks.

I have been contemplating adding a small DSL that compiles to Ansible, as i find writing Ansible config files very tedious and boring. As its just YAML, it should be quite easy to generate the output.

Well, as a lot of developers use OSX, i could see the potential of making code / token / authentication sniffing malware that sniffs out git credentials and other authentication tokens. This could then be used to gain access to ba

So basically, DNSSEC is like signing an email with a PGP key, and the others are like encrypting an email with PGP ?

IMO its comparing itself to Whatsapp and other messaging apps that do have end to end encryption. Thats why the current email trust model is not as important.

Yea I agree that the headline was a bit off. I was expecting that he found one switched on, having been running for 30+ years in a closet at the university or something along those lines. That he found one in the box in his attic and that i

Its only dead because people choose to give up. If we don't fight it at every turn, we will keep on living in this dystopian future. The government will never step in to protect you as they want as much of this information as possible.

Well, if I remember correctly, they track your web navigation using that little like button on every page (even if you don't click it). Then there is the issue that its working on identifying exactly who you live with, where you work,

Here in spain the police just removed all of them from the street, and told the companies that they are not allowed to just dump these on the sidewalks. So here, most people have bought their own scooters that you keep in your house, and ta

IMO, if i did not sign up for information regarding a product, its spam. If i want something, i will go look for it. I don't want random strangers trying to sell me something, especially when they have no idea what i need.

Yes but the company can’t be put in jail. At the most they will punish someone if they did something knowingly. That’s the issue with this law, it acts like companies are people, but in the end the punishments are not the same.

Most people in Spain don’t sleep a siesta / nap anymore. Most of us work for multinationals with the normal 8/9 to 6/7 schedule. However, we do have a 1 hour lunch break where we can eat a 2 course meal calmly.
