The options are: use smaller font size, enable word-wrap, buy a higher-resolution display (or two), use your IDE to auto-format code according to your preferences. I don't really see anybody using eeeePC for serious coding in 2013.

Besides opcode caching, APC provides shared key-value storage. I don't really see why they chose Zend over APC as a standard opcache. Also, they are incompatible and cannot run together.

Verizon engineers? But android and ios already gather statistics on every app's battery consumption, connection usage and cpu time. I'd be surprised if Google doesn't already collect this data from android devices. Would be nice to see it

I don't see the point of this benchmark. Was the file cache (apc) on? What features were enabled on what frameworks? Default configurations or production ready? From my experience, raw framework speed doesn't matter much anymore. It can eas

The real solution is to use DirectWrite API in Chrome (both FF and IE use it for a long time now). For some reason, Chrome devs are not in a hurry to implement it.

I know a few places reselling the bundles. steampay.com/bundle is an example.

Not quite true. Linux users are the 'true average'. The problem is, Windows Humble Bundles are bought for $0.01 en masse with the intention of reselling, sinking its average price.

Actually, any TV/software with motion interpolation feature makes any 24fps video feel like 'cheap TV show', its not new. From my experience the effect disappears over time, and you regain the ability to pay attention to the story.

Are those really memory corruptions and not, say, damaged cables or bugs in network infrastructure equipment? Or, just typos in scripts (both server and client side)?

Canonical needs money. Ubuntu is the only linux mature enough to begin slowly commercializing and become a new major player on the OS market. This can be a reason Shuttleworth is afraid of critics. Imagine a new feature will be "Ubuntu Prem

Windows still runs applications build for Win95, released 17 years ago. If anything, MS have always been known for maintaining backward compatibility. The MS-DOS argument.. it's simply not worth supporting 16bit dos programs in 2012. Also,

Worth noting the character set is lacking compared to other fonts such as Consolas or Ascender Uni. There's too much attention for 0 vs O's and too little for unicode coverage. Personally, I never understood the whole character differentiat

It's just the audio sample is not complex enough to hear the difference, from the encoder POV. Try doing the same test with some orchestra recording or any metal band of your preference, even 320 vs lossless would be noticable.
