This is because you have an entrepreneurial spirit, or at the very minimum you have a dollar value that you place on your time/effort. I've been there, It's a curse in many ways.

In your profile, enable showdead. The history goes back a way. Seeing all those unaddressed, never-seen comments causes me some personal existential self-examining on the value (or rather, potential non-value) of my own thoughts :)

You have touched on the fundamental divide in American society. Do it yourself because you want it done and since you have the resources or the drive, versus wait for someone else to do it or force everyone else to since you lack the resour

I asked because it changed the timbre of your anecdote from one of cars vs. bikes to one of race vs. race. Was this person yelling at you because you're on a bike, or because of your apparent race?

What you did was perfectly legal, and I assume that your state, like mine, has a law about stopping for pedestrians in the crosswalk. I feel the need to ask though why the race of the man who yelled at you bears mentioning?

(IANAL) Good luck in your case, as it appears there is a government-created monopoly at work. I do believe ICC should own and control the copyrights to their work, however. It seems wrong that local and state governments can both (a) releas

I wouldn't call it a joke because it is functional, but HL7 is terribly unwieldy and IMO is contributing to the lack of innovation in the space.

I would call it a form of morality to require church attendance, or maybe to outlaw cursing. You wouldn't want that, I assume? So maybe government should focus on guaranteeing freedom rather than thinking of ways to morally limit it.
