Slightly OT, but I like the schematic gifs used in the Readme.md (pretty amazing doc overall!) like this one [0]. Does anyone have suggestions what tools they might have used (or might be used in general) to create those? [0] https:/&

That's what I meant by coordination game: it could be any place, but they should all (well, sufficiently many) be in the same place. That's why there's a lot of staying power once a place has achieved that status (fyi, in gam

Both tech and VC are vastly more mobile than anything to do with the gold rush or even other 'technology' sectors with heavy physical assets, it's purely a coordination game.

Do you people have any more open social channels? I used to be active a bit on CrossValidated (my favorite math problems are in probability and stats), but something more social could be nice.

Switzerland had banking secrecy laws for the longest time (still do to some extent) that prevent this sort of mass collection of payment data. And yet they had a comparable credit / GDP ratio to the US and above the world average [0].

There's a finite time budget, and the question is what tasks they allocate it to. I don't suspect them of slacking, so if anything, I'd expect the time spent on other tasks to decrease the more time they put into polishing
