Reading this after staying awake all night. I wish I had control over my sleep like others seem to. It would be awesome if I could pass out at 10pm and wake up 8am. That kind of schedule is just impossible for me though. Night time is when

Am I misunderstanding something? I thought BUSL means the source is still open, but not free as in freedom.

I also took doxycycline for acne for months and it messed up my gut big time, took years to return to normal. It also gave me horrible nausea. Really don't think it should be prescribed for acne, especially because long-term antibiotic

Layoffs are often unrelated to a company's financials. They are a way to increase margins. See it as you will but they have no obligation to employ people they don't need.

I wonder. The article mentions an image rendering library exploit. I'm guessing WhatsApp doesn't write their own so the source code is probably available somewhere. Apps really need to stop processing exotic formats in unsafe lang

Putting aside ethics, I wouldn't want to sell a zero day to a Russian company because if they swindle you, there's no recourse.

Motivation and discipline can also move together. If you're motivated over a long enough period of time, discipline can form automatically.

Realise what you can change and what you can't. Whether you as an individual go vegan, walk instead of drive, or skip holidays, nothing is going to change. Enjoy life to the fullest because the only thing that can turn this ship around

Simple HTTP/1.1 would've been perfectly adequate if the web wasn't collapsing under its own weight made up of megabytes of JavaScript firing off tens of requests a second.

As another reply says, there's no such thing as perfect sandboxing unfortunately, especially not with the string of CPU side channels that have been uncovered, and continue to be revealed.

Such systems are even more useless than hash/pattern matching scanners. I've had CrowdStrike on my machines before and it would've had no qualms with me exposing root-level access over an RPC interface.

I worked at one of these companies. Yes, office attendance is tracked by badge swipes, but that's no secret. There's an intranet page where employees can see their own attendance and the minimum required. Everybody knew that there

90% of the people using YAML are not using 90% of the features in the spec. Somebody should make a subset of YAML with just the essentials while still remaining compatible. Maybe fix some of the type ambiguity stuff as well.
