The thing that made me move off of it was issues connecting to devices on mesh'd APs if the ARP entry for that device timed out on the main AP. Literally couldn't connect to my mobile phone, and after a lot of troubleshooting (whi

The Specialized Aethos shows it's not hard to achieve at all. These are regularly built up to less than UCI minimums.

Supporting what you're saying, it's not hard to find bikes that are under the UCI rules. For example, the Specialized Aethos often comes in at less than the required minimum weight. But for a TT bike and such as upthread... Or any

Did any of you submit this successfully? I first tried in Firefox and it seemed to just not work when clicking the final submit. Then I tried again in Safari and the same, but the UI worked a little differently (a dropdown for the product m

For me I pretty quickly realized that I like synths to make sounds, or maybe a bit of programming (with wires!) to make an electronic music box. But making songs? Just not for me... And that's a whole different thing.

Same here. For just knocking up models of stuff I find it both nicer than Excel (and included with the OS) and works... better... for me than Google Sheets. It's just convenient and works.

I'd guess warmer destinations in the US. Flying from Canada to non-US destinations is often MUCH cheaper because there's no TSA fees (which the US puts on the departing airport) for the return leg.

Do you have experience or information on direct burial ethernet for something like a POE camera? I'd like to put one on the back fence to watch the back of the house and yard. Direct burial in the back yard would be a plenty easy thing

TOMY made so, so many cool mechanical toys. My favorite from growing up was Stunt Pilot which held an airplane on the end of a metal rod, with controls for speed and elevation. One had to use it to pick up objects off of a platform, but it

As I read it, when someone is "activated" they are provoked to responding; someone replying because they want to say something. I see "triggered" as somewhat of an analogy, but a much more loaded word. This seems to stan

That doesn't seem any harder because you have to do that with the Network Plugin via a popup window. Or am I missing something else?

I mean that the extracted cert that's going around is from the client (Bambu Connect) side. Everything it would get used for is a function of the client and how it talks /to/ the printer. Even if it is used to sign some commu

I sorta get what you're saying, and the flowchart here ( https://blog.bambulab.com/updates-and-third-party-integratio... ) somewhat agrees. But where I disagree is with that cert stuff. 1) That cert is on the /clien

Did you happen to see this? Interesting development, they are basically going to keep the current wide-open-barely-auth'd state and call it a developer mode. And submitted a PR to make Orca Slicer work with the new auth: https:/

Perhaps some... other or better way of authenticating to the printer? Previously there was just a single, essentially fixed, numeric string that gave complete access to the printer, and communication was via TLS with a self-signed cert. I d

I do wonder how much friction it'll really add, since the slicers can send the data to Connect via a protocol handler. It also means that Connect could act as a farm / queueing system as well, more like a print driver vs. individu

Yep -- I read that, but that doesn't spell out auth back to BBL's servers, just auth. And keep in mind that OrcaSlicer already used Bambu Network Plugin to communicate with their printers. (It prompted you to download this on inst

I've been following along with a lot of this, because having picked up one of their printers about a month ago, I was immediately very nonplussed with the security. It took some work to get it running isolated on an IoT VLAN, yet still

I like to have a photo, so my personal rule is sometime early on, if the light is good, snap four or five PHOTOS in quick succession, then phone goes away. Then I've got a good photo or two, but I'm actually watching the show.

This is pretty slick. A fun next-layer would be adding on something to automatically convert output and slot it into files in directories or something. Maybe accessible via network, maybe an SD card or so...
