If it isn't backed by RedHat it is useless. Redhat have his amazing triple develop/test/bugfix process Fedora-development->Fedora->RHEL. But even Fedora is quite stable.

Narcissism and self-promotion as usual. People who have any trouble with a system perl or python or java are shipping their own versions within the package. Sap Bussiness Object, for example, comes with its own perl 5.004 and Sun JDK 1.4. I

Getting work done is a different goal, and, indeed, an understanding that it is impossible to repeat Sinatra isn't required for getting work done.

What those PHP guys are unable to understand, is that all the coolness and beauty of Sinatra comes from the lack of () {} $ and other meaningless (it this context) symbols and words, like function and echo. The same effect is in Clojure, bu

That's might be a good advice for some introverts who want to stay who they are. But I think it is a bad advice. Going always the same patch from work to home, eat always the same food all the time, creating a ritual from everything - that

Why not a plain C which is an obvious choice? I think I know the answer - "because of a buzz". ^_^ And of course, using a VM-hosted language to describe things which are on two levels of abstraction lower is a little bit funny.

I'm just trying to emphasize that actual experience is much more important than any amount of planing. Moreover, planning if it was about top-down time-scheduling is useless, because you cannot foresee anything. What most programmers do - i

Such a bold headline.. ^_^ Everyone who at least once tried to participate in a mountain expedition should know that planing is useless. Everything is changing each half of hour, and what you do is adapting and correcting your assumptions o
