That's not how mortgages work, at least in the US. There's a limit to how often the rate changes, etc. Just looking at one now, and it's set up as follows: 1. Rate is allowed to change only on the 1st day of every 6th month

Yes, the definition of "fact" in "findings of fact" is "there is a factual answer, but we do not know what it is, so we have to guess". Yes, it might be better if jurors were all acquainted with Bayesian reason

One principled solution would be to apply the rule to everyone you interact with. In practice that's likely quite difficult.

Why was the jury required to understand the law? That's not a reasonable expectation for random people off the street. In the US, juries typically decide questions of _fact_ that are not already agreed upon by both parties (i.e. are i

Position-dependent code can be copied in _physical_ memory as long as the _virtual_ addresses (which is what you observe) don't change. So yes, the mechanism you posit exists, and its the virtual memory manager.

That conflates VAT rates and sales tax rates. The two tax structures are very different, and a comparable VAT has a higher nominal rate than a sales tax, because the taxable amount is typically smaller.
