Yep, all but one page type is heavily cached at multiple levels. We are working to get the rest and improve it further... just annoying as they don't even respect limits..

My book discovery website shepherd.com is getting hammered every day by AI crawlers (and crashing often)... my security lists in CloudFlare are ridiculous and the bots are getting smarter. I wish there were a better way to solve this.

Sure, they know they can 2x to 5x the revenue of Cyberark with integration to their clients/offerings, maybe more. And build a stronger moat at the same time.

What a depress timeline. I didn’t have the rebirth of Soviet style rule on my bingo card this year.

I am working to build a book discovery website: https://shepherd.com/ Right now I am focused on building a full app for readers where the books they log feed into recommendations based on a ton of variables...

Ugh, this is frustrating, AI is learning from press releases, sponsored review, and fake reviews, and being placed above legitimate sources.

The Internet will be a wildly different place in a few years. I am very curious what this new AI bot world looks like, and also sad at losing some of these cool websites.

We don’t focus on newly published books, why did you think that? We focus on the most loved books published in any year with everything we built. We have filters for the readers who do want to see specific years in some sections, but that i
