State machine is always a trivial part. Email verification is stupidly simple task. But User propagation through the system and available actions based on verified email are not.

So in the end users were in state "not verified" after migration. Seems email is a secondary property.

You don't need VerifiedUser in the moment user click verification link. It's a state changing action. You get verified user from db and work with it later.

I'm curious how would look like a real example with different Email classes. It seems silly. You don't often need a VerifiedEmail. But VerifiedUser is more useful from VerifiedEmail. You could get an implicitly verified email with

I think nobody could write correct applications in C without strict style guides (automatically checked), fat pointers and forbidding nul terminated strings in their code. Yes it's external to language. But presenting a deficient code

Yes, snapshot isolation is a way to implement READ COMMITTED level.

It seems the root issue is atrocious sha1 hash calculation interface (openssl) not the language per se. What possible errors sha1 could return while updating a hash state from a byte buffer with a known size?

It's funny how my first programmable calculator was Citizen SRP-175 in the early 1990s. And my dream of MK-52 was fulfilled only in 2000s :) I lived in Primorsky krai near Japan though.

AFAIK quite a number of protocols and file formats use BE without any sign to become a legacy even in a distant future.

Agree. Bytes and bits mix is quite awful. For implementation purposes it could be more programming oriented. 0¹²⁸ -> `[0] * 16` (it's python oriented, maybe C has short idiom for that) or nice example with padded data: 0¹²⁰10000111

Yes. And they could contain errors even without OS and hardware. And practice clearly shows it. Proofs are easier to make on the same abstraction level, aren't they?

TLA+ helps to find errors in your algorithm. It's a way easier than trying to model the algorithm in terms of end implementation. Too much complexity and state are introduced because of details.

Just wow. I've tried CadQuery and I'm too dumb to use its fluent syntax. But Build123D has amazing DSL, it was an instant understanding what code actually does and it's easy to write also. Thank you for recommendation!

Looks like instead of VCS fear developers would get a code change fear. Because any mid to complex refactoring attempt would immediately break somebody's code after promotion.
