I'm really hoping pg is working on something as we speak about the SNR (based on his thread a few days ago asking for feedback). Personally, I think a separate section is needed just for HN'ers to showcase/demo/launch their startups or pr

Thanks for the input. I'm positioning iWagerr as an app just to track casual wagers. I'm emphasizing "casual" because I'd like it to be the de-facto place to place non-financial bets (such as those in the examples I gave above). Think of

Hey guys, do let me know if my weekend project would be neat to use! I'm wondering (hoping!) if my app might be interesting to some people here (who are active on Twitter). What : iWagerr makes tracking and sharing casual bets with friends

Exactly what I had in mind as well. I'd prefer if the current UI stays as it is, but if I click on a user's profile (or hover over his username), it would be neat to see the type of badges earned.

One way around this could be through badges (a la Stack Overflow). You could automatically get badges based on average comment karma and so on, instead of tying your contributions to the HN community to a mere number. That way, you're rewar

Flag comments (essentially public shaming). Look at how Quora does it. If a user's reply is not in line with the question, other users flag it as "not helpful" (and explain why below). So the more the people who flag stupid comments (instea

As far as I know, there is no issue. Think of iWagerr as a notepad-like web app that simply allows you to record or track all of your wagers (financial or not). There is no money passing through iWagerr (no credit or points system eithe

Great job on the design (based on the screenshot). It looks very elegant. How are you going to differentiate between a "startup" and a "weekend project"?

If you've never heard of Airbnb before, perhaps you're in the wrong place. Airbnb is a YC company and is one of the (if not the) hottest startups out there.

The only thing preventing me from leaving FF to move to Chrome is TabMixPlus (especially multi-layered tabs), considering I regularly have 20-30+ tabs open simultaneously. Scrolling through tabs on Chrome is a very painful experience, and
