Wrong, I don't use reddit at all and I prefer old reddit. It's not default for me since I don't have an account.

I don't think you understand the difference between something failing due to chance, and something failing due to a known manufacturing defect. One of them you get fixed out of your own pocket, the other is a recall. Try to guess which

Did you actually read any of the issues reported in the link you supplied? Those are all run-of-the-mill electrical issues, and none of them seem to indicate that they are repeatedly taking their vehicles in for service for the SAME problem

Many different fields? I count 3, and they all sound software-related, so you could even argue you've worked in one field and 3 different specializations. The answer is really simple: try something new. Choose randomly, go on a hunch,

Yeah, that sounds exactly like something that would generalize to a big city.

I had the same reaction. It would be like telling someone who has been using an IDE: did you know you can compile your code from the command line? And having that person genuinely be blown away.

I have a decent amount of ROS experience and could possibly be of service. What are you looking to learn / do specifically?

This is excellently put and explained. I wish most educators took this approach as well. It seems a large part of education is handing out solutions to barely-defined problems, and the idea is to memorize the solutions.

Changed over the decades? Your issue with advice is that the giver must have had something happen so long ago that they can tell you about how the world has changed in the meantime? By your reasoning, you would have rejected that person

How would you separate this new wave from any old waves? I've never been aware of "waves of traction". Please just admit you made a mistake instead of responding to everyone trying to defend your use of the word "new&quo

OP didn't take issue with "gaining traction" and clearly was responding to "new tools". Tqdm isn't a new tool.

Some heroin users are also incredibly dedicated to finding their next score. They show intense focus when it comes to seeking out their next hit. Why do you think demonstrating focus on an addictive video game is the same as solving open-en

I didn't see you admit that a 6 order of magnitude difference isn't "negligible", as you originally claimed. Instead you're making the argument that we can throw hardware at the problem, which is fine, but a very di

I can't tell if this article is tongue-in-cheek or not. These are all just excruciatingly detailed versions of "I'm thankful the human species came out on the positive side of a lot of dice rolls". Just say you're h

The quote is likely referencing large in-person groups. I would argue HN is absolutely _not_ a group in any meaningful sense. We are a bunch of individuals sharing individual thoughts asynchronously. We don't act in unison. 4chan, on t
