You could say the opposite is true as well. How do you know after hours workers are not rating their productivity higher than actual? How do you know that the 9-5 workers aren’t rating their productivity as lower than usual? All data in of

Adding this for data. I charge $500 an hour for contracting. It's gotta be at least that as it's costing time I would otherwise spend with my family. Family time / time away from my core job is incredibly valuable.

Does anyone else think these have been happening a long time but now they make front paper news because of recent activities?

Very insightful. It is definitely a balance. They could get away with less devs. I guess I am curious what the specific breaking point will be. Sr Devs will only put up with so much (Even when making an incredible salary). Side note: do we

Sorry to hear. That is honestly a huge reflection on the company and in my case for every 1 of those devs there are 9 that are incredibly talented and hard working (in my <10 year experience in the CS workforce)

Even if this is eyewash to flush out leakers... why spend the time doing this as the owner of the company? There seems to be a lot more important work they could be tackling on instead of being a meme lord to a bunch of 14 year olds.

Elon has this bizarre conspiracy in his head where he thinks software engineers don't do anything until he realizes they do everything. Btw, a dev build is in prod right now. Or someone forgot to minimize the JS. Tons of import map iss

I don’t think that’s an obtuse comment. I understood the article to be talking about Point of Sale the entire time because I live off the blockchain hype.

Thank you for the correction. I should have done my math a bit better. I do appreciate this community for calling out incorrect data. One of the very few communities left that call errors out in a thought out way.
