Consider expanding your definition of a mobile device. I watch stuff daily on my iTouch, and I suspect lots of people will use a tablet device for the same.

Pretty funny considering this is a site centered around start-ups and their culture. It's easy to be flippant, but I know too many people who have done just exactly that -- burned out before 40, and regretful about their choices. Talk with

I'm a little taken aback by your criticism. Did we even read the same letter? What part of (and I paraphrase) "stay busy, keep a balanced home/professional life, live with positive attributes and avoid the bad ones" did you have a problem w

Great read! There's lots to ponder, but this cracked me up: In referring to the Pink Flamingos Godel's wife put in their front lawn, Godel says "urchtbar herzig," or “awfully charming." If that isn't the greatest definition of kitsch, I do

That there are nice people at Microsoft is hardly the point. It's naive to ignore the reputation MCSFT has developed over the years, and Myhrvold was a senior decision maker at Microsoft. While the original posters hyperbole might be out of

True -- most people weren't interested in cooking as an exercise, they just wanted to eat. However, interest in cooking as an art form, not just as consumption, is at an all time high (or so it seems to me from the countless media around fo

Interesting! The title is a bit vague for me -- when I think browser wars, I think of the mid 90's. This graph kind of picks up in the middle of story. It's like skipping "The Fellowship of the Ring" and going straight to "The Two Towers."

I love the fact one of the brothers complains about other clone makers ripping them off, letting them do all the legal hard work. Sucks when people sell your efforts as their own, huh?

You sound like a smart, capable guy, and I've read a lot of good advice here. I'm a guy in his 40's who had a similar crisis and feel like I came out the other side. Let me say this: You can do this. Find a job that lets you work near home.

First off, "Use your brains" is so condescending that it shuts down any useful dialog. Most importantly, the people who are responding with "i don't get it" (like myself), are not missing the point of what they're trying to deliver. In fact
