I think the exact same thing... - get ex MS employee to be Nokia CEO - fire lots of Nokia employees - run the company down - buy Nokia, hire ex MS employee to run that part It's a shame, i never had a Nokia, but the featur

Everyone suggesting to use ctrl-c/v is not often using a terminal i guess ;) So now in the future i have to select test in a terminal with the mouse, right click, click copy and then hit ctrl-v or right click again, whereas now i just

Agreed in that this needs to be an option. I'm using the middle mouse paste very often, it's such a nice and easy thing to have.. Do i want a "text context" menu? No. I'd enable the mouse-click paste again..

Wasn't Vista supposed to be that awesome new-technology operating system with WinFS and whatnot? I think the big failure was that it came out as a Windows XP with a new (worse?) interface and too many problems. Windows 8 is just a cont

Yes, so not. I've found the actor module, but it's based on threads so no "lightweigth" and not as powerful as the networked, lightweight erlang processes. I'd really love to see that in a new language, especially s

Just when i started reading tutorials about Rust this comes up... Looks nice, but does it also have concurrency built in (Rust tasks, Erlangs processes, message passing, etc.)?

Would it be feasible to have Debian + Darwin? I am wondering about driver availability.. Does Darwin support all hardware FreeBSD does? Is it stripped down to Mac-like hardware? And in general what would i get from using Darwin as opposed t

No, i wouldn't think so at all. A little foresight and modular design is not _that_ hard. Sure, after you implement the Dog Class you know better what the Pet Class may need, but you can most likely already have 75% of that Pet Class r

Interesting.. "This gives a value for x of about 4 µm. In a digital camera, making the pixels of the image sensor smaller than this would not actually increase image resolution." So, the HTC One, which only has a 4 megapixels is a

Cool, i didn't know that would be possible with sockets, sounds like a nice option. Although i wonder how efficient it is, but it may be worthwhile to spawn [number of cores] x [node.js | python | ruby] servers which themselves only ru

I was really a little bit disappointed to learn that go (touted for it's goroutines) doesn't have actors, i would love to have the erlang style, network aware actor model in a language i belief i could learn easily ;) Without that

I must say i am really surprised about the presented features of the language. It seems to take a lot of the nice things of more dynamic languages and puts them into a fast, compiled system language. I will have to try Rust, now!

I was starting with unionize as well, but the fact is that docker looks up for available IP adresses on its own. So you can give docker -d the -b parameter and pass an existing bridge and it will go through that bridges IP space and assign
