This is why Apple is going to continue to crush it. They can build a subpar equivalent to google services and a large portion of the tech world will adopt it for its privacy benefits. The 'tech world' is a large influencer to the

As houses sell for more, rent also increases. This caused services and labor costs to go up. This causes inflation but most wages don’t go up by the same amount, making people poorer. Just look at Silicon Valley.

Move to coastal California. There's enough sun & ocean water to fall back to desalination if need be. I suspect Arizona will be screwed as they've had a housing surge without similar investment in securing new water sources.

California had a huge budget surplus. So there's plenty of funds to pay for massive water works infrastructure with existing tax revenue.

Had a VanMoof. The 'bike hunters' was worthless. The "GPS" is actually A-GPS which uses cell towers to triangulate the bike to within .5 miles...not too useful. When or if you do find the bike on a facebook marketplace l

Average tenure at a tech company is roughly 2-3 years. Slack IPO was ~2 years ago. So yeah, that would make sense and could have nothing to do with Salesforce.

Communism can work if you can kick out bad actors. That’s why kibbutzim have historically worked. But for any sufficiently large system that’s not possible, which is why it failed to govern countries.
