They invested ~1.3B for an 18% stake in the company. At todays market cap that’s 2.6B for a profit of 1.3B from initial investment, or a 100% gain on their investment

Doubtful. Especially when large clients of twitter have publicly stated the reason for their reduced ad budget is lack of support and bad, for brand, content next to their ads.

I think the problem is harder than you make out. How do you expect them to combat this while still allowing new sellers to have vast reach.

This would be a big blow to California. One of the reasons I didn’t move to Washington was that my employer was known to sue for breaking the non compete if you headed to a competitor. Being employed in California protected me from said law

Funny enough some dating sites such-as jdate measure success based on marriage-kid outcomes. With funding raised based on those stats.

People tend to forget that if you do a 10% cut at all levels, and each director has say 100 reports. You’d have 1 director for every 100 ICs laid off.

Legally if you are on payroll but not doing work the visa issue remains. Now will the government actually enforce that who knows. I’m not a lawyer. This is not legal advice.

Where do you suggest they park all that USD $$$. Banks wont touch them. You can't just buy Treasuries, as that requires having banks. Even in a bank such a high balance is not FDIC insured, so what if there's theft/fraud/

You assume tether will allow redemption of $1 USD for each 1 tether it receives. I believe tether makes no such guarantee you can actually redeem USD for your tethers.

That way over hired. The company missed the nft wave. And their expenses went out of control. A good ceo would have recognized during the first round of layoffs a deeper cut was necessary to bring the company to profitability.

It's ok they'll just issue 12B more BNB tokens to themselves to make up for the difference. /s If tether de-peggs, which is not unlikely, then this is just the tip of the outflows , margin calls, and bankruptcy we'll see

Why should water rights be indefinite? Seems like a bad deal for the state. Realistically they should be auctioned off each decade or come with heafty yearly liscensing fees based off demand & supply.

As with all enterprise software buying, a key criteria is can I get a human on the phone to resolve the issue quickly-ish. Microsoft and Amazon get this, with differing strategies. Google and Stripe seem to not get it. Sure it doesn’t scale

There’s preliminary data that shows a recession is currently underway. This is reactionary. if the fed cuts rates and stop’s quantity tightening then sure, Amazon will likely u-turn. But that’s due to a situational change.

I disagree there’s simply not enough FANG level high paying jobs to fill all these employees into. Many will end up at startups and other industries with a paycut. Few companies are willing to pay a HR or Recruiter 300k/year comp.
