You can get tiny dosage pills, I use 75mg ones -- easily available at the supermarket in the uk. No node bleeding with that, even if you do risk bleeding a bit more than usual if you cut yourself.... Small price to pay for the 'feature

I have a debian install that I've installed in 2001. It's clean, fully up to date and has never been reinstalled. It's not necessary. It had apache1 before, it had the old exim before, it had all kind of old packages and was

I'm a huge fan of tcc. I use it on embedded systems -- a good trick is to pre-process any headers you need via cpp preprocessor, 'compress' them in a single file, and add your .c to that. That way you don't need to cart

You don't have to erase the whole history, just duplicate it. What we do is to have a developement branch, with the real history. When ready for merge/review, we duplicate that branch, rebase -i (on the same origin) to clean it

Ah... I loved SunOS! Fondly remember my Sun Station 3/80, nothing like that fancy SPARC processor in there, a good solid 68040 like real men used back then ;-) Mind you, I still use the 'sun' font when booting my linux kernel

I've completely given up reading anythign on mobile, because of that. I read the headlines in GG news, and make sure NEVER to click anything, otherwise they just hijack you. And then they wonder and plead as to why we use adblockers

I've been saying that for years. Here in europe, the reason the life expectancy is high is that it's based on people who die today at ripe old age, many of them having been retired 30 years, sometimes more... They are 85+, and the

Well I used btrfs as a root filesystem for quite a while, until I realized it was pig slow for sync() -- I mean, it would take AGES to do and apt-get upgrade for example. I ended up having to do some tasks using 'eatmydata' [0] to

That's not exactly true, if you actually fast for 3 days, even two pizzas won't make up for the lost calories of a 3 days fast, and it's very likely won't be able to eat 2 pizzas in one go.. I know, I fast regularly (I
