Would probably make sense for someone to just write a site agnostic 'drawchat' plugin.

There was some issues with the code. Mostly memleaks. I think I've fixed most of them, although it was tough to do so elegantly. You may want to rethink using the START_HANDLER macro (or at least restructure it) as it makes it difficult t

My apologies. I hadn't mean to suggest GAKS. However there are many known problems with implementations using GAKS. Bad implementations make heavy use of CPU and it's easily detectable. The methods I suggested later in my post are far su

This is a very naive implementation. Better off using a keyboard hook or GetAsyncKeyState as someone suggested. And if you want to write a 'real' implementation, you write a keyboard filter driver. Or hook NtUserGetAsyncKeyState.

That's not accounting for security platforms though. Packers, crypters, vms, etc. Anyone can read assembler.

If the software is crap enough to the point where there are embedded usernames and passwords in the binary, it's barely even worth mentioning.

I don't understand why anyone should care what 'errata' thinks. This is some of their past research. http://www.erratasec.com/research.html Really.

There is no reason to ask such a question because potential projects are outlined in _thousands_ of places across the net. It seems that he put absolutely no effort into googling and finding such projects on his own.

These questions always seem so ridiculous. There are thousands of examples of projects that fall into systems programming. Do one of these things: keyboard/mouse driver, hard drive diagnostics poller, implement raw sockets on windows, syst

Collecting data can definitely be 'evil'. Would you be okay with the government sticking cameras in your house? What about your bathrooms? That's data collection.

I'm not sure if this is meant to be a serious comment, but not only is it misleading, it's also naive. As you try to lead the conversation into talking about an actual kernel halt or panic as opposed to what the OP actually said. This was

"We've identified the vulnerability, shut it down and are vigorously pursuing the matter with law enforcement." Is a pretty clear assertion that they are aware of how the attack took place and know how to patch the issue.

Could this be any less technical? This seems to barely even qualify as something to be show on hacker news. It doesn't talk about the exploited service, the vulnerability, if it was known, etc. Instead they tell us 'signs of spam'.

This article falls flat for a couple of reasons. 1) In Open Source projects people don't care about your gender, orientation, race, etc. in large part because this information isn't even available. I'd like you to give me some examples whe

I'm sure this is going to ruffle feathers, but whatever. The way you become a 'top tier hacker' is by exploiting and reversing in the community (black/grey hats). Much of this is done through working with people who you respect and may hav

What I really don't understand is how someone like this even get's hired as a developer. I'm assuming he either writes in-house software for a non-tech company or is just another dud at Micro$. It's also perplexing that he is either 1) com
