It's unspecified, I guess, but if you want to read into the spirit of it, which is to make it trivially-supportable by type-nazi languages such as haskell, you either get a [[Int]] or a [[String]].

That's still a piss-poor heuristic to rely on -- especially because it biases your analytics data toward google-users.

I've been using Go a lot lately. It's difficult to overstate just how much simpler it makes writing highly-concurrent server-type programs. Entire classes of bugs, issues, and puzzles just vanish.

There's not much to maintain. I ported the matcher from Command-T out of its ruby-C wrapper, and it more or less just works. I use it dozens or hundreds of times a day.

Yes and no. There's a clear divide in this case between corporate and personal interests. America wasn't originally all about defending corporate rights more vigorously than personal ones.

Wrong question. If you can't simplify or analogize enough to explain something technical, you don't understand it well enough yourself. Sometimes I'll tell people "It's kind of abstract and will take a while to explain. Do you still care?"

CSIS is not nearly as eager to unjustly violate personal freedoms out of spite as its American counterparts seem to be.

It's not insanely hard; it just takes some practice. The gist of what you'd do is: * Assign a word to each card. For example, the three of spades might be "pancakes", but I think people usually have some sort of digit-to-sound mapping (eg.

And, again anecdotally, I experience much more concerning side effects from drinking a couple red bulls or monsters than I do from downing 4 espressos at once.

I try to ignore these things because the GPL generally just infuriates me, but do themes seriously count as derivative works for the purpose of GPL licensing?

while quite a bit more complex than this (2200 lines rather than 50), dwm[1] is a fairly complete tiling window manager, with extremely readable code. [1]: http://git.suckless.org/dwm/tree/dwm.c

It's different for white collar crime. People stealing cars likely don't have much going on in their lives, and joining a gang might look to them like a viable way forward. Martha Stewart was jailed for insider trading. Before, during, and

The difference in this case is that it could reasonably be argued he had an implied license to all the content he downloaded. The millions of kids downloading music have done more wrong by the letter of the law than Aaron did.

Shpongle was my go-to coding music for a number of years. More recently I've been listening to a lot of trance. Above & Beyond's Group Therapy podcast is excellent.

It's a cool animation, but it overstates the incorrectness of the heliocentric model. There is no absolute reference frame, so the heliocentric model is perfectly valid if we take the Sun as the reference. This model is (closer to) correct

I interpret this as encouragement to use fully-qualified package names (eg: https://github.com/burke/zeus/blob/master/go/zeusmaster/zeus... ), which I don't really have a problem with. Go code is nothing if not explicit.

I've started building this exact same thing so many times, but never had nearly the follow-through you did. Fantastic job. This has been sorely lacking for many years, and I'm excited to start using it!

If someone's already committed to paying, they can be convinced to pay more. It's hard to convince someone getting something for free that they should start forking over dollars.

How so? It's essentially the same service as gmail, only with a different domain. The incremental cost to them is zero, and they make the same revenue as they do from a gmail user.
