There wasn't any data. It did X with the external network. The worst case was that it maxes out the connection and burns through bandwidth. But that's something that can be monitored. The customer would have rather had something working wit

Agreed. The last company I worked at we had some similar idiocy. We had a backend process that connected out to a network and did some things. However, the network it connected to changed their protocol, so our backend process was broken -

Outlook is to most people the most irritating broken non-functional idiotic piece of rubbish ever to grace their computer. So I think I'll give Azure/whatever a miss.

You can get a VPS for $19.95 a month now, with pro-rata billing. Set one up for a couple of days, see what happens, if it fails, cancel it and get most of the $19.95 back. I don't think server cost is an issue to most people these days. Not

Instead of downmodding, why not explain why you disagree with the facts I present above?

Abstracting out "function(c){return function(){/ stuff /}}(this)" seems like overkill to me. I guess it's a matter of taste etc.

Turning an object into an array isn't a nice way to do things IMHO. Maybe runtimes optimize for these cases, or maybe they create completely new objects every time and you get fantastic object churn. Yes it works well, but it's not really n

I don't think technology changes that much, fashion certainly does. So if you want to be 'hip', keep up with what's "in" and what's "dead". But if you just want to get stuff done, use what you like.

There's nothing worse than non native scrollbars lagging, not doing as you expect them to. Flash scrollbars, these 'infinite ajax scrollbars', and this google scrollbar all fail miserably IMHO.

Give them a call. You can find the adwords support phone number on the web. I've called before and actually got really good support from them. email doesn't get you anywhere though.
