So the AI agent had privileged access to remove 2FA, ignore the account email, and just hands accounts to whoever asked? Honestly that’s so highly negligent I wonder if the implementation team for that “feature” was intentionally trying to

I don’t think this is true. HN was well known to CS people in my undergrad and I’m barely a millennial.

This was true over 20 years ago when I was in elementary school - I don’t know anyone who really played the game, most people just collected the cards. Magic the Gathering was always both though, you collected good/rare cards & pla

Yep, I did this for my little DGx spark cluster because 100-200gb copper cables are very thick, heavy, and annoying.

Not that it super matters, but random hadamards for quantization have been a thing since way before turboquant. https://arxiv.org/abs/2404.00456

As much (fairly well deserved) hate as Tahoe gets, the video wallpapers and transparency are such a fun Windows Vista vibe I get nostalgia. Time to set this up with the Vista waterfall wallpaper and reallllyyy feel like it’s 2007!

I think that post quantum encryption methods might be in this category but I am not knowledgeable enough to say either way. One issue though with making a one time pad trivial to copy - how do you authenticate that you are allowed to read?

There’s a video on the first link of a landing in Belgrade that’s deeply funny. “We departed late and arrived early, A Boeing 737 would never be able to do that” “Why are you reading out numbers to me like I am an old man”

Titanium-Boron nano thermite is easily the most SciFi thing I have read today, and apparently Aluminum-Teflon nano thermite is also a thing.

Same, just had two fail, in a qnap 100gb switch with a reasonable level of cooling… Meanwhile the 100g optics are actually doing just fine!

How common is this? In scouts we often did this, jumping into alpine lakes where you could see a glacier melting across the water. We were also told that to treat heatstroke tossing someone in the lake and then treating for shock was somewh

Only a little bit of touching for the really expensive one. The Credo 50 was less than 1K though. Also Phase One Support/Repair is absolutely phenomenal and unless you toast the sensor; repairs are “fairly” economical.

This 1000% - I’ve used AI to enable SSH in one Phase One digital back I own, and to reverse engineer and patch the firmware on another to make the back think it’s a different back - Credo 50 to IQ250! The internals are literally the Sam.
