By being the greatest general intelligences we know of? Even then, it’s still the most lethal thing most people do. If we get a human level AGI with vision as high dynamic range as ours then maybe we can match human driving performance. See

People have studied the Xeon Max! Spoiler - yes, it's limited to ~23GB/s per core. It can't achieve anywhere close to the theoretical bandwidth of the HBM even, with all cores active. It's a pretty bad design in my opini

Unless it's like, air gapped powered by a naval nuclear reactor, I feel like someone would question why a random US gov building is drawing 20-30MW of power, and exhausting most of that as heat...

Intel has failed pretty badly IMO. Fabbing at TSMC might actually have been a good idea, except that every other component of arrow like is problematic. Huge tile to tile latencies, special chiplets that are not reusable in any other design

Not true, the W790 chipset is purely for HEDT/workstations, distinct from the sapphire rapids server line. AMD also has an entire separate HEDT socket, sTR5 for threadripper CPUs. HEDT is alive and well!

Exactly as xnornet was doing way back in 2016 - shadow 32bit weights, quantized to 1 bit during the forward pass. https://arxiv.org/abs/1603.05279 I personally have a pretty negative opinion of the bitnet paper.

We just had a hand signal plus saying speak while holding a treat until she meowed at us, Then we gave it to her. I don’t actually recommend this, because it’s basically training them to always yell for food haha. And trying to train her to

Yep! If you have a food motivated cat, they can pretty easily pickup tricks - My cat knows sit, shake, speak, up, and 360. Not sure if higher lever words/concepts such as, it’s raining outside, are making it through.

Yes? I wasn’t making a claim that it was better to solder everything for everyone. I’m saying the overlap between most Apple users and those people is low.

Nope. Not reliable ones. The pin density on a bga memory is like, 0.3mm for the type typically used by apple. That’s 200 0.3mm pins that have to line up and work at 4GHz and survive you dropping it 5 feet.

It won’t ever be able run as fast as a soldered system. Have you installed a server CPU? It’s really easy to fuckup and lose a few channels of memory due to the contact being bad. Right now I’ve got a 3647 Xeon phi cpu that’s refusing to tr

It does not apply to memory. It’s much harder to maintain signal integrity. 200+ 4GHz signals.

I use my Q900R the same, it’s awesome. It’s so flexible: For couch gaming, 4k, 120Hz, VVR, 10bit and like, 1500 nit HDR. The downside is pretty clear blooming though. 8K 60Hz for sitting close and using for photo editing & programming.

I didn’t realize the Neuromancer was written in Vancouver! There’s a less well know cyberpunk adjacent TV show, Continuum, that’s set in Vancouver, year 2077 and all that :) It’s surprisingly good!

I do! I’ve played around with it with this exact setup. It really depends on your processor, these toolchains really love a good mix of both high frequency and multi core. A hello world adder is less than a minute, a riscv core much much lo
