Yep, tons of decent homegrown stuff in Azure. And for a long time - see the Catapult FPGA cards.

Not that it matters, but Microsoft has been doing AI accelerators for a bit too - project Brainwave has been around since 2018 - https://blogs.microsoft.com/ai/build-2018-project-brainwave/

Yes it is. Supermicro is one of the only vendors that tries to prevent this attack at all through RoT. Other vendors you can flash whatever unsigned firmware you want. It’s very useful for adding in microcode for intel engineering samples,

This is completely untrue! Important communications have always been enciphered since language has been created I’d wager, whether that cipher is specific terms (grog means attack that person in 10 seconds!) or a book cipher, e.i. The first

Isn’t it well known you can tell plant health via there spectral return? NVDI cameras/filters? https://static.publiclab.org/#wiki/ndvi The difference here being absorption vs. emission I guess?

Everyone is somewhat missing the point here that the California bar is making. They don't care if you use an AI or a Llama spitting at a board of letters to assemble your case, you are responsible for what you submit to the court. This

I’ve been doing this a lot! AI seems to really excel at setting up compiler boilerplate/minor modifications for new arch. I made a simple cpu information utility work on HP PA-RISC and Sparc64 :)

That's cool you worked on a PA-RISC system as a job! The ISA seems clean and the later superscalar designs were very advanced for their time. I think an updated PA-RISC design be awesome for modern workloads; huge caches with prefetch,

The PA-RISC processor are really cool - the C8900 has a 64MB external shared L2, and a 768KB I & D cache per core. That's more I & D cache than any modern processor I am aware of, and more last level cache than basically anythi

Standard speculative decoding without relaxed acceptance has no accuracy impact as far as I understand things. If you always run the verification; you always have the true target model output.
