What a huge missed opportunity for AirBnB! For a drop in the bucket of time & expense, they could have easily come out of this looking stellar & likely would have gained the business of many people who have been on the fence. Inste

I like the simplicity of this. Here's your biggest problem I think: I just filled in a bunch of overlaps (which was kind of fun), but that's probably all i'm going to do right now & I'll likely forget all about overlap.me by tomorrow.

"Because of what you said before you started filming..." Cute. I know this has been discussed before, but how far away are we from having tiny wearable cameras that are always recording? It certainly seems that's where things are headed.

I think I can understand Baio's logic: Photographs & Music are two very different mediums. A music composition is made to be played. And part of that is that multiple people will probably be playing it. The fact that the instrument ch

Electric swap stations (eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfdYU7gk8fs ) strike me as one of the most promising concepts for electric vehicles. Imagine if rather than ever owning a battery you're just perpetually rent the use of one (perha

I actually started playing with the concept one weekend for IAmAs specifically. I was trying to do it all client-side and the issue I was running up against was reddit's jsonp responses get VERY slow on large threads.

The production batch issue is very real. After seeing an 85% failure rate over 12 months in a batch of 16 high-end Seagates, we no longer purchase more than a few at a time from a particular vendor. Though I will say, even with this, we n

How about having your hostfile swap script change your IM status to something like "Goofing off online." (or whatever)? Nothing like the shame of broadcasting that to your coworkers to get you to keep your goof off time to a minimum.
