In what situation does the entire financial system shut down, and we still all have reliable electricity and Internet to use crypto with? Also most market cap isn't in those "more efficient" and "more decentralized"

I genuinely don't remember what the ballpark number was, it was years ago when I did this. But I think the db was a tad larger than the raw files on disk because of the additional meta data I stored in the database for organization, bu

I once experimented with using SQLite as a file store for small images (10s of Kb). We had so many images on disk, that a recursive ls command wouldn't complete in a single day. At one point we even hit inode limits. I tested out stori

This seems like a really exciting release with all the improvements to the sketch workbench in particular. I look forward to installing the update!

So sanctions? I get it, collateral damage is indeed collateral. That's why I don't know how to feel. If this move broke some key software used on the battlefield, would we all be so quick with our positions?

Your suggestions are also childish and just as flippant. I don't know how to feel about this because it's not much different than sanctions in theory (very different in execution). Cause pain for people so they "force interna

I didn't condone anything or anyone, I just stated I wasn't sure how to feel about it. Anny assumptions or claims beyond that are your own delusions.

I don't know how I feel about this. One hand, this is a seemingly non-violent and subtle way to protest. On the other, the potential collateral damage is huge and just burns all trust with this developer, and is a net harm to the ecosy

Docker on mac just...sucks. So I don't develop on mac. Remote debugging sucks, so I don't like to setup a pure remote env for development. Maybe I just have Linux-colored lenses but I am not sure I see this product having huge gro

"Need" is a strong word, one that I don't think the actual experts (on policy and governance) would use either. Rather they would talk about efficiency of the system. People who have more knowledge allow the system to move wi

This is something I find exciting! I was looking at our infrastructure and between all the various services, we basically have recreated k8s only more expensive and fragmented and tied explicitly to AWS. On top of that, our local test env i

There is no world, in which "flexible" and "F1 Car" belong in the same sentence. By design, a track car gets rid of anything "flexible" for highly optimized choices. If we want to assign a car to emacs, it'
