Covering the camera makes you 100% under control. I don’t trust any software or hardware or even promises from vendors. As far as the mic goes, nothing much you can do to take control unless you physically unmount it, which your average Joe

I would do the exact same thing as if I thought it would have been right for me prior to joining... then realized it wasn’t a great fit 6 months later. I would indeed look elsewhere.

I agree and disagree :) Sometimes smaller companies don't have time for career growth because of work overload and lack of budget. Having a manager in this kind of setup does not bring anything special to IC's besides an extra lay

What do you mean by years? OP is looking for money accessible within 30 days max. You can take your money out of any of the investments I mentioned instantly. Sure, the "investment strategy" is the long term thing here.
