I have dealt with this problem in an Electron app I designed and support. The different platform scrollbar behaviors drove me mad because of my insistence on a common experience. I really like the hidden scrollbars that Apple settled on.

I don't have a dock myself, but I do live very close to a boat launch. I'm planning to get a battery powered boat (evaluating the options now) at some point... not sure how far out I'll be able to safely go.

I'm very interested in giving these classes a shot when they become available. I have been working on a tool (for 4 years now) for a hockey simulation that tracks growth of players and I try to do some predictive analysis, but I have

Lol, yeah. I live on the edge of Chattahoochee Estates so I'm pretty far from downtown. I used to live in Cumming and the protein plant in Northern Cumming was brutal... smells there are unlike anything I've experienced. Big re

Yup, I'm in Gainesville. Not directly on the lake, but it's across the street and I have easy access to the water.

I'm not newly remote as I made the move a little over 3 years ago. That said, I moved to Northern Georgia specifically to work remotely. I have an incredible (inexpensive) house that gets fiber internet, live in an inexpensive area, h

When I lived in Canada we had to turn on the honk mode because there were too many people using devices that block remote vehicle locking. The honk is an obvious indicator that the car did, indeed, lock.

I'm a big Far Side fan, but I'm not liking the aesthetic of the new tablet medium. The shading in particular looks significantly inferior to the old water color works.

I don't think this is a fair assumption. The work is going to be defined by the client... so if the client wants .Net 3.0 experts to maintain a legacy system, then that's what they are going to get. I have worked for and with In

Since the copy/paste exploit was addressed (in ios) I'm not sure what useful information "chinese spyware" can gather from this app. As long as it's being used for goofy dance and lip sync videos, I don't see

You don't need to understand the allure. Are you not also absorbed by your phone in other ways? What wrong with people smiling, laughing and dancing? I'm an old parent trying to be open minded as well.

I was a bit critical of my wife using TikTok until I realized that she replaced the negativity of Facebook with something that, in its current form, is pretty harmless. It's replaced rants and frustration with laughter and positivity.

I think you are drawing the wrong conclusions here... Microservices is not the boogyman here. It more likely has to do with speed of development, developer turnover and a plethora of other things that result in insufficient knowledge trans
