Hens, ducks, geese, pigeons all use their wings for various movements. City pigeons might evolve into penguin-like birds. Lazy bastards don't even get out of your way these days.

No doubt it will be used for that. Covid gave governments the perfect excuse to test out restriction systems, and they work.

It's gonna be an yearly thing, isn't it. Now with a digital pass so you need to get a paid vaccination or be restricted. Bet my life that's what's gonna happen.

People were dying in hospitals. Old people. Stop with the "durr, people are dying like flies" bs. Enough lives were ruined by that. The young will be paying for this crap for the foreseeable future.

Even better? Immune system learns of two (slightly) different ones, making immunity more robust.

It was skirting because outright talking about suicide in any form will get you banned. "You can go kill yourself and others, just don't use our platform for any content about it."

Magazines all over the world are thankful for Facebook taking all the heat :D But yeah, people will blame anyone and anything rather than take (and learn) responsibility, so don't expect anything to be solved anytime soon.

Is there anything wrong with just "stealing" market share from bigger companies with some unique features? I see it all the time, these services definitely have a product market fit. It's just very small.

Huh, also a great way to gain weight for all the stress eaters out there, I guess.

France has way bigger problems than the wealth tax.

Competition killed itself a while ago. Wait, no, I think it's still bleeding out.

Yeah, that's the ideal. Unfortunately when the local government is worse than a bunch of faraway bureaucrats, it's just hard to justify supporting them.

Yeah, that's not why they're not being used. More to do with the absolutely massive size that motor powered ships can have.

by bserge 5y ago
If these were sail ships, they'd have been commandeered a long time ago. Sadly, they're all dependent on expensive af fuel.

Funny how absolutely nothing changed for me during this outage everyone, their grandmas and their dogs seem to be talking about. I don't use Facebook. And nothing of value was lost. Amazing how they're a multibillion dollar compan

It would be embarrassing (or should be) if the number stayed the same if Covid didn't exist. Meaning the correlation isn't there.

Good to know. I was basing my opinion on the fact that the actual infection (confirmed via PCR) had me very fatigued for a week, with a fever for about half of it. And online reports for J&J showed several days of response effects. I co

Coming soon, the 0 day work week. No one needs lazy meatbags when 10 robots can work 24/7.

Because the officials are fucking cretinoids who can't understand it. I had Covid, had immunity, and no one gave a flying fuck. I had to follow the same procedures as everyone else. PCR tests up the ass, waste of money, travel blocks.

by bserge 5y ago
I mean, yeah. If vaccines don't protect against virus spread... Fuck it, let people decide. Either take a vaccine or risk getting Covid in the wild. Just make it so you can't use a hospital bed in that case. It's only fair to

I assume that's compared to normal figures (which are what, btw?). Because if normal figures showed 145 cases of myocarditis out of 177M people, that would be embarrassing as fuck.

That explains it. Yeah, I'd be able to point to something that's closer to what I saw.

I have literally had this thought yesterday for the first time. If I had to describe someone's face to police... I couldn't. I mean, they've got 2 eyes, a nose, lips, that's the best I could do :D

It's very hard for designers and developers to come up with regular updates that stay on the fine line between still useable but somehow worse than the previous version. Firefox has been excelling at this.

Kazus.ru had them, maybe even the same database.

Probably not, since most people against it would be dead or never born.
