   Thanks for your suggestion. I've considered building a custom solution as you suggest with a pi-zero. I'd need to 3d print cases and attach a simple LCD display. The option is also more versatile as one could add potentially NTP s

   Looks extensive and I'll likely try using the module at some point. One thing, why not stash all the function methods under a "ring" or "cache" attribute, eg @ring.lru() def foo() .. foo.cache.update()

   One should just use the column name "id" then the table can be renamed if needed without having to rename the columns or perhaps the indexes. Although that's another debate altogether..

   I'm always curious if one day one of these "solutions" is actually correct. I'm definitely rooting for the author, although probably have to wait until Terence Tao chimes in.
