Element doesn't need proprietary. If they do, they don't need our money then.

I think I don't mind the license change but I'm never contributing code or money to anything with a cla. I have been burned in the past and I have zero interest in contributing anything that will end up in proprietary code.

The pro version is a bit pricey, for an open source app and for something most people will only use on occasion. Also an app like this doesn't do much so I wonder why limit it by locking-away some features.

How good is to tape a hepa filter to a box fan? I think I recall a marketplace episode where a scientific or whatever said that it was better than some shitty products and good enough for the small price.

I might be a foolish dreamer, but I think a healthy community with a lot of 3rd party tools make a project even greater. Like git. It also inspires confidence for new adopters. I was often wondering with vault "why are there so few 3rd

I wonder why vault doesn't have more 3rd party tools like password managers (with browser and mobile support). For servers tools, maybe people wrote cool stuff at work but they are not published.

It's open-core (if you care about that). "The SSO is free up to 10ppl." It's weird that "Content Search" is such a pro feature.

I wonder if there's more passkey support. Passkeys with Bitwarden only worked with Chrome the last time I tried.
