In my experience, a larger engineering team makes these kinds of problems more likely I wonder how many teams worked on tweet embeds, each with their own incomplete understanding of the full widget and their own competing product prioriti

I've gotten fairly good at using regexes for this kind of thing, but of course those don't work for every case. I don't know of other options for operations that aren't built-in to the language extension But I will say i

It's very clearly a choice and not a bug But what I could imagine is that it fell out of product oversight and an engineer just came along and said "well that's a really complicated piece of code, I don't want to maint

Wasn't poetry supposed to be the one that fixed all that? I haven't tried it, but I've suffered the state of other python tooling and whenever I rant about it to others they're always like "but we have poetry now, a

And in fact- I think something that would be really helpful is if these models shipped with another model that detected how similar an output image is to a specific image in the training set You could get this score alongside the results if

Monaco is just the GUI, it doesn't require language support (and in fact, the LSP that was pioneered alongside it means you don't even have to run the language support on the same machine, much less in the same codebase) Again- an

I wasn't aware of that as a core goal. Do you have a reference where it's stated? I also don't see why WASM wouldn't be a good fit for that

It doesn't try to protect you from the really deranged things. Every TS check comes with an implied "assuming you didn't use a Proxy to make this property accessor mutate state or something" It does reach admirably far

I've poked around in the TypeScript codebase just a little bit, and it's clear they've squeezed as much performance out of JS as they can (though really, you can tell that just by using the thing; it's impressively fast

TypeScript is complicated because JavaScript is complicated. As long it's sticking to the core goal of giving JavaScript static types in a practical way, complexity is unavoidable. I think what you want is a new language. (I say this n
