Very cool! But unfortunately the reality is most startups never capture the first 6 numbers of credit cards if they are using a payment gateway (stripe, recurly, etc). Do you have ideas on how we can access the BIN without compromising secu

If amazon loses my confidence I think I'd start shopping at Walmart before I switch infrastructure platforms... I see AWS as a century old business, just in the same way PG&E and utility companies of the 20th century have developed

Are you deleting messages after you receive them? I haven't run into any race conditions but I suppose if I did, I'd use redis's HyperLogLog or something similar to see if I've already processed the message.

I have no doubt that whenever Salvatore releases a distributed, Redis queue feature it will be amazing. But if you're on AWS, SQS is a solid at-least-once delivery queue service that is hard to beat. (at least when you don't want

The scrolljacking really makes for a terrible UI/UX. Designers: why is this something we're seeing more often? What is the main benefit?

Just found this while doing some performance benchmarking around different ways to write a JS loop. The results were quite surprising: https://slack-files.com/T02874CDH-F029WFR7C-fc5594

I hope SROs in San Francisco get as much administrative attention as short term rentals. Decade old legislation severely hindering the development of downtown SF.

If you think about the sheer number of logical load balancers they have to update (tens of thousands?) and the time it took them to update all of them, I'm incredibly impressed by their quick turn around.

I have to give AWS credit for updating their systems so quickly. Despite a bit of public anger over their lack of transparency (1) they managed to update thousands, if not tens of thousands of OpenSSL installations in their datacenter. Trul

We run our forums on DO as well and it hasn't caused a hiccup at all. Uptime has been great for me, but at this point there isn't enough tooling around DO for me to be comfortable with doing more than just simple web sites

i think this just goes to show that the DO platform is not suitable for sites that require uptime. The price point justifies the simplicity, but sometimes simple isn't enough. AWS still has everything a startup needs to run their stack

Which bakeries source your breads? The Mill? Tartine? Acme? Would love to know which before I buy! (though I might buy anyways because I think this is awesome). Awesome Webflow site that is simple and to the point.

Hi there, Webflow founder here! We actually have a free trial, which lets you design and export as many sites as you'd like in a 2 week period. If you're still working on your site after your trial is over you have the option of u

We here at Webflow went through great lengths to implement the command pattern in our web designer. It has definitely paid off when we tell our users they can just hit Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z anytime they make a mistake. That said, it's
