Cate highlights positive aspects. Again, your posts focus every time on negativity. This is the point that I'm trying to get across. You talked about cancer, about blame and failure, "doing everything wrong in life and still win

Huh? Isn't the privilege to be a bigot in a position to interview people? 60 years ago you can't deny the reality that some bigot had power and interviewed people and he didn't like "fruity" men (or whatever he'

I'm aware BR was made by the same director. In contrast, Lynch's doesn't look anything like his other films. Color grading is a huge part of what makes movies look like they do, but beside that there is a sterility and cleanl

I recently got to rewatch the first LOTR film in theaters, after not having seen it for maybe 8 years. I was stunned at how well done it was visually, and how well handled the tension and pacing are throughout the whole thing. It was just a

In these comments your agency is entirely aimed at negativity. In order to justify this you reframe it as realism. It's kind of like walking outside with your attention constantly focused on the fact that you might step on dog shit.

But Dune is very much a story where many things do happen, intricate things that have a lot of text and subtext. The tone you describe is at odds with the story it presents (and its run time).

I can think of no memorable visuals despite having seen it on IMAX. I can remember plenty of interesting visuals from the Lynch one despite thinking many other aspects of it were horrible, and having seen it in my room 4 years ago.
