As a most awesome MD, really at the front lines told me once after a 36 hour shift: 1. 50% of the patients are in this hospital are here because of medical errors. 2. Don't get sick. But if you do get crushed by a car, you really are g

In the future you will be able to run a multitude of blood tests on a single drop of blood. Just the future is not here just yet. Just like DNA. You amplify. And amplify. And a very cool guy got a Nobel prize for that.

U would be amazed at what happens at mega companies. Blown Away. Funny story: the other talking to the CEO of a mega corporation. They fired a senior person here, #1 employee. Told him about it, he did even know it happened. And she reporte

Hung out with a brilliant heart surgeon, genius. I asked him about what cartoons he watched growing up. He said "what's a cartoon?" He was dead serious. Parents would never let him not study. Never. 100+ hour weeks. Zero time

The actual life expectancy in NYC is actually not too bad. > New York City's life expectancy rate has increased by three years since 2001, far greater than the nationwide increase of nearly 1.8 years over the same period. https:&#x

As a social experiment years ago, I interviewed 1000s of NYC taxi passengers. Just zillions really over a few years. My conclusion, based on my data collection (WASP here). The most friendliest people on the planet were Pakistani. Number 2?

NYC does try. But overall it's beyond a disaster. Is there even a thinker anywhere here? People just sit for hours in traffic and just know one cares.
